Back to school for pupils .. and the Shieldinch cast and crew

-

FaceTimed me to tell me all about starting primary five. She was buzzing. She told me she had her first ever French lesson that day and then proceeded to count to ten in French - cool as you like.

They’ve got wee brains that are like sponges at that age and I’ve always thought we should learn a couple of languages when we are very young as this is when it comes most easily to us.

Wouldn’t it be incredible if we all learned Gaelic as children?

We could bring back our native tongue for everyday use. Now that would be iongantach (fantastic). Shieldinch Shenannigans The River City cast and crew caught up for a wee Shieldinch Social before we all head ‘back to school’ this week.

Kieran Hannigan is our new exec and he wanted to introduce us to his new team of producers and they are fabulous.

There are also some very exciting new cast members to be announced.

So sorry that loads of people have been disappointed that River City has been off during the Olympics.

I love the Olympics so it doesn’t bother me too much but it’s so lovely to hear how much the show is missed when it isn’t on! Gary Tank Commander: Mission Quite Possible

Team Tank haven’t been in the same room together since 2012!

So meeting up for our much anticipated first read-through of the script for the live show was just such a special moment.

It was so lovely to be back with those beautiful, talented boys again.

The script, let me just tell you, is blooming brilliant. Another great piece of work from my clever mucker Greg McHugh. Quote of the fortnight:
