Assault denied

A Toryglen man accused of shouting, swearing and assaulting the same man twice in two days will stand trial next month.

Charles Mooney, 30, denies behaving in a threatening and abusive manner and assaulting a man at Prospecthill Crescent on March 1, 2015.

He also denies repeatedly punching the same man and threatening him at the same address the following day.

Mooney, of Prospecthill Road, pleaded not guilty to all charges against him when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on August 23.

He will return to court for trial on September 20.
