Enjoy a pint and pixels at Black Bull

- Douglas Dickie

Punters at a Cambuslang pub will be able to enjoy popular Scottish games from the safety and comfort of the bar next month.

The Black Bull on the Main Street is hosting the Tennent’s Lager ‘Pints to Pixels’ tour.

The lager giants have created a series of retro arcade games based on Scottish games from yesteryear such as ‘chap door run away’ and ‘wally’.

Tennent’s hope the games will help publicans offer their customers something different . Every time someone buys a Tennent’s, they get a token to play.

The tour was launched by Still Game star SanJeev Kohli who said: “Calling all pub punters.

“Relive your youth with Tennent ’s Arcade. Play ‘chap door run’ safe in the knowledge you won’t be issued with an exclusion order. Or, if you’re too young to remember, enjoy the graphics your dad had to suffer.

“Get down to the pub and see if you can beat my high score.”

The games will be at the Black Bull from September 8-15.
