Parents in Castlemilk, Toryglen, Croftfoot and King’s Park could soon need to enrol their children for school in November.
Glasgow City Council are consulting on plans to have all parents register before inter arrives.
Currently, families and carers can register their child during enrolment weeks in November and January for children due to commence primary one the following August. The authority are seeking the views of parents about a potential change.
A statement on the Glasgow City Council website said: “We are proposing to ask families or carers to register their child during the enrolment week in November only. Although we would advocate local schools for local children this will allow families, who wish to make a placing request, more time.”
