Stage stars dazzle in show

Dancers wow audience and pass exams with flying colours

A Cambuslang dance school has enjoyed another fantastic year.

The Valda Hunter School of Dance has been operating in the town for 26 years. They held their end of year show over the summer while their pupils all sat examinatio­ns to see how they had developed.

And the youngsters showed their worth with dozens passing with flying colours, bringing to an end another great year at the school. Teacher Tracey McCue, said: “I’m so proud of all my pupils for the fabulous results for our examinatio­n session in 2016.“All our hard work was worth it.

“We had a super summer show with great performanc­es from all dancers. Well done.” The Valda Hunter School of Dance meet on Saturdays and Tuesdays in Cambuslang Baptist Church on Cadzow Drive. They have classes for nursery to advanced as well as classes for boys.

Tracey added: “We do a wide variety of styles at the school: ballet, tap, freestyle, acrobatics, cheerleadi­ng and drama.”
