Serving up success
Kirkhill Lawn Tennis Club enjoyed an exciting day as they held their club championship finals earlier this month.
Sixteen events were played throughout Saturday, September 17 to decide the winners and runners up.
Whilst play continued on the court, spectators and competitors were able to grab a bite to eat and drink along with catching up with the Davis Cup on the television in the clubhouse.
After the day’s play, a barbecue went down a treat as everyone soaked up the best of the good weather.
Club president Jacqueline Clark said: “It was a really lovely day with the sun which did help. Everybody played very well.
“The mens doubles was played at the same time as the Davis Cup final but it was a very exciting match. It went right up to the last set.
“It was a good day and we enjoyed a barbecue with people coming to watch and enjoy the atmosphere.”
