Man to stand trial after incident in station
A man will stand trial later this month charged with two assaults on people in their workplace.
Mark McLaren, from Rutherglen, is accused of assaulting a ticket examiner at Glasgow Central Station by pushing her on December 14, 2015. Later that day at Stewart Street Police Office, he was allegedly found with diamorphine, a class A drug, and was then charged with drugs possession and intent to supply.
In a separate incident on January 21, 2016, McLaren is accused of stealing a yogurt drink from a Union Street shop in Glasgow. He is further charged with assaulting a man by biting him on the hand.
The 27- year- old denied all of the charges against him when he appeared in court on October 4.
