Man to stand trial af­ter in­ci­dent in sta­tion

A man will stand trial later this month charged with two as­saults on peo­ple in their work­place.

Mark McLaren, from Ruther­glen, is ac­cused of as­sault­ing a ticket ex­am­iner at Glas­gow Cen­tral Sta­tion by push­ing her on De­cem­ber 14, 2015. Later that day at Stewart Street Po­lice Of­fice, he was al­legedly found with di­amor­phine, a class A drug, and was then charged with drugs pos­ses­sion and in­tent to sup­ply.

In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent on Jan­uary 21, 2016, McLaren is ac­cused of steal­ing a yo­gurt drink from a Union Street shop in Glas­gow. He is fur­ther charged with as­sault­ing a man by bit­ing him on the hand.

The 27- year- old de­nied all of the charges against him when he ap­peared in court on Oc­to­ber 4.

He will stand trial on Oc­to­ber 24.
