Assault charge

A young woman was allegedly thrown against a wall in a violent assault in Castlemilk, a court heard last week.

A court heard the woman was allegedly pulled by the hair, thrown against a wall and repeatedly punched during the incident on April 21, 2016.

William McCann, 53, from Arnprior Road, denies committing the assault and is due to stand trial on October 26.
