The Cambuslang branch of the Royal British Legion will hold two ceremonies in the town on Remembrance Sunday.
The first will be at 10.30am for 11am at the Cambuslang War Memorial in Cambuslang Park.
Then at noon, a second will be held at the miner’s wheel on Hamilton Road.
Residents will then be invited back to the Masonic Lodge on Tabernacle Lane for tea and coffee.
Remembrance Sunday is on November 13 this year.
Depute Provost Pam Clearie will also host a ceremony at the miner’s wheel on Friday, November 11 at 10.45 for 11am, exactly 98 years to the day when the guns fell silent.
Local primary pupils will be there to place poppy crosses in the flower beds.
