Rutherglen Reformer

Drifter away at Motown concert

-

Rutherglen Town Hall will celebrate classic soul and Motown on October 14 when Let’s Drift perform.

The group say they are a celebration of that style of music rather than a tribute.

Formed in 1991, they perform a repertoire of Drifters’ tracks and music from similar genres including the Four Tops, the Temptations, Stevie Wonder and Edwin Starr to name but a few.

Complete with authentic vocal harmonies, every song allows them to showcase their full vocal range and skills.

The current set comprises material from over 50 years of Drifters and Motown performances.

Look out for hits such as Saturday Night at the Movies, Under the Boardwalk, Come On Over to My Place, Up On the Roof, You’re More Than a Number in My Little Red Book, Save the Last Dance for Me, Kissin’ in the Backrow and many more.

Let’s Drift sound is so close to the original hits you will not believe your ears.

Tickets are £15 and can be bought from the Town Hall in person, by calling 0141 613 5700 or by visiting www. sllcboxoffice.co.uk. The show will start at 7.30pm.
