Drink drive denial

A Castlemilk man has been charged with driving while being more than six times over the legal alcohol limit.

James Reynolds, 39, has been accused of driving, what is understood to be a Peugeot 206 on March 24, 2016.

The accused of Castlemilk Drive, is claimed to have consumed so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath was 134 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath, which exceeded the prescribed limit of 22 microgramm­es in 100 millilitre­s.

He denied all charges against him when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on September 30 and will return to court for trial on March 9.
