Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

Castlemilk Park’s pumpkin festival will take place next week.

The popular event has seen hundreds of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes designed over the past few years, providing a suitably spooky Halloween treat for youngsters.

This year will see a day of pumpkin carving take place on Sunday, October 23 , from 11am to 4pm.

There will then be the chance to make pumpkin soup over a fire in the woods on Monday, October 24, from 11am onwards. Booking is required for this event.

Tuesday, October 25, will see story telling for preschool children take place. Booking is required for this event too.

Then it ’ s the big illumination at night, from 6pm until 7.30pm.

This offers the chance to see over 300 carved pumpkins lit for the first time.

Finally there will be a spooky walk on Wednesday, October 26, with the exact times still to be confirmed.

This will let kids and big kids alike discover the spookier side of the woods, with zombies, witches and maybe a monster or two lurking about.
