Kind Zoe raises cash for school

-

A big-hearted former Trinity High pupil showed her charitable side when she presented a cheque for £422 to Rutherglen High School.

Zoe McKay raised the cash by climbing Ben Nevis in May.

And she dropped by the school to hand over her donation to pupils and teachers. Zoe, and her friend Michael Collins, decided to raise money for charity after they had finished their S6 exams.

Michael raised £390 for the suicide prevention charity, Chris’s Cause.

Zoe had spent some of her free time volunteering in Rutherglen High and wanted to raise money to help the school.

A spokeswoman for Rutherglen High said: “Staff and pupils at Rutherglen were delighted to receive such a wonderful donation from Zoe and were very grateful to her for all her hard work.”
