Christmas lights switch on date

The date for the turning on of the Christmas lights in Rutherglen has been confirmed as November 26.

The festivities will begin at 4.30pm when entertainers will help Ruglonians get into the Christmas spirit.

As is tradition, the Cambuslang event will take place the next day.
