Rutherglen Reformer

Photo contest for wee snappers is in memory of Brian

-

The Reformer is once again running our Brian Logue Photography Competition in honour of our beloved photographer.

Brian passed away on Boxing Day, 2013, at the age of 64. He had been our photographer during two spells at the Reformer, in the 1970s and from 2007 right up until his death.

With the blessing of Brian’s family, we’re looking for the best images captured by schoolchildren in the Reformer circulation area — and the winner will scoop £75, courtesy of Media Scotland, and the magnificent Brian Logue Memori a l Trophy, which was donated by an anonymous friend.

Second prize will scoop £ 50 and there will even be £ 25 for third place.

Tesco Burnside have once again come on board to offer two special prizes of £ 25 vouchers as well.

Last year’s winner was 14-year-old Darren Girvan, who impressed with his picture of Rutherglen Town Hall.

Entering could not be simpler. Either email the picture to news@ rut her glen re former. co. uk or send a hard copy to Brian Logue Competition, Rutherglen Reformer, Central Quay, Glasgow, G3 8DA.

Remember to include your name, age, what school you go to and the story behind the picture. Also include a contact number for a parent/ carer.

Editor’s decision is final. The winner or winner’s parent/carer must agree to a degree of publicity. Usual Trinity Mirror rules apply.
