Cuningar Loop to light up for winter

A special winter event will be held at Cuningar Loop in Rutherglen and Forest Enterprise Scotland are inviting residents from Rutherglen and Cambuslang along.

‘Loop by Light’is on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3.

From 6pm Cuningar Loop will be lit up to create an enchanting winter evening. The woodlands will be transformed into a fairy tale of wonder and residents can interact with magical woodland inhabitants.

Eilidh Malcolm, community ranger at Forest Enterprise Scotland, said:“Cuningar Loop is popular amongst the local community especially when it comes to activities, days out and family trips, so we hope everyone will come along and have fun at this event too.”

The Wee Cabin Café will be open to buy hot food and drink to keep warm.

The event is free, however it is essential to book tickets at www. loopbylight.eventbrite.co.uk.

Eilidh added:“We are hoping for good weather, but it is important everyone dresses for the unpredictable weather. There is no indoor space available at this event so we recommend warm waterproof clothing.”

The Loop by Light event is unsuitable for pets and those attending are required to bring a torch.

A car park will be available next to Dalmarnock station, just off Springfield Road.
