Tributes to Tommy
Football fans have this week been paying tribute to one of Clyde FC’s all-time greatest players.
Tommy McCulloch, who was the club’s goalkeeper from 1958 to 1972, passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 82.
He joined the Bully Wee from Junior team Bridgeton Waverley in 1957 and won the 1958 Scottish Cup in his first season with the club.
Tommy has since regularly attended Clyde functions.
He was presented with a bottle of whisky at the 2007/08 Clyde player of the year event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the cup final victory over Hibernian.
Tommy’s funeral will take place at Linn Crematorium in Glasgow at 12pm on Monday, December 19.

Joining Clyde from local junior side Bridgeton Waverley in 1957, Tommy helped bring the Scottish Cup to Rutherglen just one year later, keeping a clean sheet in the final against Hibernian.
He has since regularly attended Clyde functions, and was presented with a bottle of whisky in the 2007/08 Clyde player of the year event, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the victory.
Tommy spent 15 years with Clyde, making 475 appearances in all competitions and left the Bully Wee in 1972 to join Hamilton Academical for a year before retiring.
