Town close in on Gers

-

Super First Division

Glencairn’s draw with Kilsyth meant Shettleston and Clydebank had the chance to close the gap at the top.

An 83rd-minute penalty for The Town claimed an important victory over Yoker to put them within a point of the league leaders with a game in hand.

The Bankies, on the other hand, claimed a 2-1 win at home to Irvine Victoria under the guidance of interim boss Gordon Robertson.

Central District First Division

St Roch’s moved to within six points of Cambuslang Rangers following a 2-0 victory over Bellshill Athletic.

The postponement of The Lang’s match with Rossvale was not the only game to be called off due to the weather.

Larkhall’s clash with Thorniewood will have to be replayed while near neighbours Vale of Clyde, were also handed the day off as their Fullarton Park ground was frozen.

In the other matches in the division Johnstone Burgh drew 1-1 with Lesmahagow Juniors and Neilston lost 3-2 to Wishaw Juniors.
