Church is just right for 3 Bears
A new nursery has opened its doors in Cambuslang.
The 3 Bears Nursery opened at St Cuthbert’s Church, Brownside Road, on January 16.
3 Bears already have nurseries on Hawthorn Walk and Wellshot Drive.
Owner Richard Russell, who is from Cambuslang, was delighted to open in St Cuthbert’s, having worked hard at refurbishing the building to be a suitable location.
He said: “St Cuthbert’s is a fantastic location and the gardens there are amazing for the kids.
“There’s greenhouses, play huts, climbing frames and it’s a really big nature area so we like to educate the children about the wildlife and nature.
“We’ve renovated the property and brought it up to building standards and it’s a good thing for both the nursery and the church.
“We’ve been doing this for over a year, as it was November 2015 when we first started approaching St Cuthbert’s.”
Richard believes the nursery can provide a boost for the overall local area too.
He added: “It gives the church massively improved premises
“We’ve nothing planned for the immediate future but it is definitely a community fixture because we’ve improved the property and can really help the community, being based there.”
Richard bought the business three years ago, and is hoping it will further expand in the future, including into after-school care.
