Be prepared and food shopping is a breeze

-

Shopping... a word that we either love or loathe.

I asked my members the same question this week, but about food shopping, and the results were surprising.

Most of the members did not enjoy shopping.

Food shopping is either a necessity or a chore for a lot of people, but there were some members who enjoyed it.

When you are following the Weight Watchers plan, food shopping can either work for or against you, as there is so much choice, too many temptations, and due to this, if you are not prepared before you hit the shops, then you can buy the wrong types of food, leading to you eating too much, not staying on track, and not getting a good weight loss at the scales.

So before you go food shopping, plan ahead. It it can be so much quicker, easier, cheaper, and most importantly, it can help you stay focused and on track with your plan, leading to a great weight loss. My top tips for food shopping are:

■Plan your meals in advance.

■Prepare a shopping list.

■Do not go food shopping hungry.

■Only purchase ‘buy one get one free’s’ if they are on your list, and you need them.

■Try only taking enough cash to cover your shop.

Why not try an online shop, this will remove all the temptations? When you are prepared, then your food shopping can be an enjoyable time, and most importantly, a time to help keep you on track to a good weight loss.
