Helping fight security fraud risk through paper recycling
Highlander International Recycling is helping fight identity fraud in Lanarkshire and beyond.
Proud to be Scotland’s largest independent paper recycling company, Highlander International Recycling handles a staggering 35,000 tons of waste paper every year and offering collection services throughout the central belt.
Highlander recently invested £100,000 to upgrade their Confidential Waste Shredding operations.
As well as providing service to customers such as Coca Cola, Slater Menswear and many others, Highlander are also looking to assist people in central Scotland with a public drop-off service for their old confidential documents including paperwork such as bank statements, utility bills or anything else bearing data considered confidential.
Highlander receive such documents – in bags or boxes – from members of the public and shred them down to small strips before the paper is sent for final recycling at UK based paper mills which manufactures new paper products from the material, including hand towels and other tissue products.
With rates from as little as £1 per bag this service has already proven to be a hit with Lanarkshire residents - the company has already shredded and recycled over 1000 bags of paper weighing over 15 tons!
Building on the initial success of the service, Highlander Security Shredding is expanding the service to people further afield than Lanarkshire, to help people eliminate identity fraud and help the environment by recycling the paper.
The service is simple – contact the Highlander shredding team at 01355 241088 to agree the prices, then deliver the paper in bags or boxes to our destruction centre where customers will be given a receipt and certificate of destruction.
The process is monitored by CCTV cameras and Highlander are accredited to EN15713 meaning customers are guaranteed a secure, reliable shredding service at all times! For more information contact the team on 01355 241088 or online at www.securityshreddingscotland. co.uk.
