Bags of clean-up support
Friends of Cambuslang Park’s spring clean-up was held on Sunday.
It was a glorious afternoon and between the 150th Glasgow Scouts and the friends there were about 30 people cleaning the public park.
Edward Cais, of the group, said:“Our South Lanarkshire Council colleagues keep the park looking beautiful, but, unfortunately, there is always more litter to find. We set about our task with gusto, enjoying the warm sun on our backs. By the time we had finished, we had collected some 25 bags of rubbish, a barbell and two boxes of bottles. There was a well-earned drink of juice at the end for the workers.”
