Fifties soundsat jukebox teadance

A jukebox tea dance will be held in Rutherglen next month.

Organised by the Cambuslang and Rutherglen Core group, the event will be held at St Columbkill­e’s Church Hall.

There will be live 50s music, prizes and snacks.

Tickets are free and will be available from the start of May.

To prepare for the event dance lessons will be held every Thursday until May 18. The classes will run from 6.308.30pm at St Columbkill­e’s Church Hall, when members will learn two routines which will be performed at the tea dance.

The dance classes are free and open to everyone, regardless of mobility issues. The routines will include sitdown dances.

The tea dance and classes are supported by South Lanarkshir­e Council and funded by Clyde Gateway.
