I am standing for election for the Rutherglen South ward as it is the area in which I grew up. The concerns of local residents are my concerns.
Before going on to the University of Strathclyde, where I will next month complete my LLB Law degree, I attended Burnside Primary and Stonelaw High School. I also work part time as a parliamentary researcher for an MSP, often helping local residents with their problems when they approach us.
I believe that I have a strong understanding of local issues and a clear vision of how South Lanarkshire Council could work more effectively in the interests of our local community.
My experience of working for an MSP and solving problems for local residents would help me support people with their concerns quickly and effectively.
If elected, I will provide a strong local voice for our area on South Lanarkshire Council.
