Rutherglen Reformer - - Ward 13: Cambuslang West -

I have lived in Newton for the past 20 years, and before that Rutherglen and the east end of Glasgow.

I’ve worked in various areas of the public sector including in homelessness and the NHS. I’ve a good understanding of the policies and the challenges being faced in the public sector, and of the importance of public sector services to the residents in Cambuslang West.

Over the years I’ve worked with many community groups, including family support groups, partnership groups and carers’ groups. I believe the only way to continue to improve the environment, housing and infrastructure, to ensure maximum opportunities and quality of life for residents in Cambuslang and protect them against the Scottish Government’s austerity policies is to have Labour councillors in South Lanarkshire.

I’d relish the opportunity to be able to try and make a positive contribution on behalf of the people of Cambuslang.
