A Toryglen resident has been accused of obstructing three police officers by attempting to throw away an item containing controlled drugs.

Declan Sinclair was charged with the offence alleged to have taken place at Ballater Street, Glasgow on January 30 last year.

The 22-year-old, of Prospecthill Crescent, is also claimed to have struggled violently with police officers, shouted, swore and acted in an aggressive manner.

His co-accused, Daniel Kelly and James Allen, both of Glasgow, will join Sinclair in the dock on June 6 and 7 after allegedly shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence while repeatedly approaching the cops.

Allen was further accused of attempting to prevent the police officers placing Sinclair in their vehicle before struggling violently with them and making off from them. He is said to have caused an officer to fall to the ground due to his actions.
