Violent assaultis denied

A Cambuslang man allegedly seized a woman by the throat, pushed her to the floor and punched and stamped on her head.

Sam Neilson is due to appear in court on Friday, charged assaulting the woman at Bank Street in the town on November 18.

The 40-year-old, of Westburn Road, who is alleged to have been on bail at the time of the incident, was also charged with repeatedly shouting and swearing.
