Accused ofabuse tohis ex

Trial was set for a Castlemilk man accused of being abusive towards his ex-partner.

James McGill, 21, allegedly breached a court order banning him from approaching or contacting the woman.

He is charged with shouting, making an abusive remark towards her and gesticulating at her on May 14 at Cornwall Way in East Kilbride town centre.

McGill, of Linndale Drive, Castlemilk, is alleged to have assaulted a man at Cornwall Way on the same date by repeatedly punching him on the head to his injury, while on bail.

He pled not guilty to both charges and was bailed until his trial on August 24.
