Assault denied

A Castlemilk couple will stand trial for allegedly assaulting police officers at their home.

Iain Carmichael , 39, is said to have punched and kicked two police constables on the head and body and struggled violently with them on October 7, 2015.

Ms Carmichael, 33, meanwhile, was charged with punching them on the body at the home on Scarrel Gardens, Glasgow.

Mr Carmichael, who was claimed to have acted in an aggressive manner, shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence, is due to join his co-accused in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court on June 13.
