Dale Simeon picked up three prizes at Cambuslang Rangers’annual player of the year awards on Saturday.

The young midfielder, who had helped The Lang to a last-gasp victory over Neilston to secure the league title earlier in the day, claimed the club player of the year, player’s player of the year and top goalscorer awards.

Goalkeeper Iain Stewart won the Lang Online supporters player of the year prize.

Manager Paul McColl commented : “It was a great night. Dale has been exceptiona­l for us this season.

“At 21, to have scored 26 goals in his first season of junior football is phenomenal. I’m really pleased for him.

“I’m glad Iain got one because he has been brilliant. He’s saved us on many occasions this season.” ·See next week’s Reformer for pictures
