Glasgow towers cleared
Glasgow Housing Association says none of its buildings are insulated with the same material as Grenfell Tower.
The association, which has multi-storey flats in Toryglen and Castlemilk, said none of its blocks contain the same material.
In a statement issued this week the association said:“The materials and systems used in our multistorey investment programme meet and in many cases exceed Scottish building standards and regulations for this type of property.
“The systems used are designed to prevent the spread of fire and they are manufactured with non-combustible materials.”
A dedicated helpline for mutli-storey flat residents concerned about fire safety has been set up at GHA.
The number is 0800 561 5656 and it is open 24 hours a day.
