Daycare centre’s glowing report

A day care centre based in Toryglen has been given a glowing report by the Care Inspectorate.

Orchard Grove Day Care Centre in Prospecthill Circus achieved an ‘excellent’ grade and three ‘very good’ grades at their most recent inspection.

The results of the visit, which took place on November 2, were published last week.

The level of staffing was graded “excellent” by officers from the Care Inspectorate.

They heard that Orchard Grove Day Care Centre is a fully integrated day care service providing opportunities for older people.

The service provides support services for older people over the age of 65 years, and is open to everyone within the community.

After speaking to service users, the inspectors concluded: “We found that service users were at ease in the company of staff, service users and carers.

“We were advised that service users enjoyed the company of others within the service, with ongoing discussion in relation to activities within the service as well as places of interest.”

The report, which is available to view online, concluded: “The environment of the day care facility is very good, with a range of information provided.”“
