New MP should make an effort

It was disappointing to see that our new MP Gerald Killen wasn’t at the Summerfest ceremony on Saturday morning, a major event in Cambuslang’s calendar.

It was also disappointing that he was not in attendance at the Great Get Together community event in his own ward on Sunday.

It would appear that, having retained his position as a councillor, Mr Killen finds himself unable to attend not only his council engagements but also seems unable to attend to other local events.

Let’s hope this improves as he settles into his mammoth dual role. name and address supplied
