Two men ar­rested af­ter fire bomb at­tack

Two men have ap­peared in court af­ter an al­leged fire bomb at­tack on a quiet Cam­bus­lang street.

Res­i­dents of Macfar­lane Cres­cent were left stunned in the early hours of Fri­day morn­ing when a white Mini went up in flames.

Dy­lan Shaw, 24, and Paul John Mur­phy, 27, both made no plea or dec­la­ra­tion when they ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Mon­day.

They have both been charged with wil­ful fire rais­ing and van­dal­ism while Mr Mur­phy has also been charged with as­sault.

Mr Shaw, of Coulin Gar­dens in Glas­gow, was re­leased on bail while Mr Mur­phy, of Shisk­ine Drive in Glas­gow, was re­manded in cus­tody.

One per­son liv­ing on the street said:“The car was com­pletely ru­ined at the front.

“The po­lice were here all of Fri­day morn­ing.”
