Burn­side Pri­mary pupils will be on telly

Par­ents and vis­i­tors to Burn­side Pri­mary School will be able to keep up to date with pupil ac­tiv­i­ties next term as pic­tures and video footage is dis­played on a new tele­vi­sion.

Do­nated by Tesco Burn­side, the 32 inch TV/DVD combi will screen pho­to­graphs and videos of pupils re­cent work.

He­len McGar­vey, head teacher at the school, said Burn­side Pri­mary had a lovely link with the lo­cal store.

She said:“Thank you so much to Tesco Burn­side for the kind do­na­tion.

“We were thrilled when Karen Jarvie ar­rived to de­liver our new ad­di­tion. We will be able to in­stall this in the foyer of our beau­ti­ful new school and hope that pupils, staff, par­ents and vis­i­tors can en­joy the many pho­to­graphs and video footage of our pupils tak­ing part in their ac­tiv­i­ties through­out the year.”

Karen Jarvie, com­mu­nity cham­pion at Tesco Burn­side, said:“I was de­lighted to pro­vide Burn­side Pri­mary with a tele­vi­sion for the en­trance to their beau­ti­ful new school. I hope it helps en­hance learn­ing as well as en­cour­age and in­spire vis­i­tors and pupils alike.”
