Half­way and Dis­trict Bowl­ing Club re­gained The McGin­lay Cup from Cam­bus­lang in their an­nual friendly match.

Last Satur­day saw the Half­way gents travel to the greens of their lo­cal ri­vals hav­ing been white­washed the pre­vi­ous year. The vis­i­tors even­tu­ally won 4-2.

The Bal­loted Pairs will take place on Satur­day at a later time than ad­ver­tised. It will be a 1.30pm start.

The third round of La­nark­shire League games took place last Fri­day night and both teams only man­aged to pick up two points out of six in tough games. The Di­vi­sion 3 team were at home to New­mains and Di­vi­sion 10 were away to Blan­tyre.

The fi­nal round of games be­fore the hol­i­day break takes place tonight, Wed­nes­day. Di­vi­sion 3 travel to Quar­ter and Di­vi­sion 10 are at home to Hamil­ton Ca­ley.

In the RDBA Triples League, Half­way suf­fered two de­feats against Kingswood. This week’s op­po­nents were Cam­bus­lang be­fore they play White­field next week.

In the Mon­day morn­ing se­niors league, the Sec­tion 2 team got two points out of four against White­field. The Sec­tion 3 team got the same re­sult against Red Deer.

David Fer­gus was part of the La­nark­shire South team who de­feated Ayr­shire North in the quar­ter-fi­nal of the An­drew Hamil­ton Tro­phy last Satur­day. They will now face West Loth­ian this Satur­day in the semi-fi­nal. The game will take place at East Loth­ian Co-Op. The fi­nal will take place at Cri­eff the fol­low­ing Satur­day with Dum­friesshire fac­ing Mid­loth­ian in the other semi-fi­nal.
