Denies threat

A Cambuslang man denies threatening to stab police officers if a woman telephoned police.

Paul Williamson, 24, is alleged to have taken possession of a knife and made the threat at his home on Cairns Avenue on January 26 this year.

He was further charged with shouting, swearing and threatening to stab police officers if they approached him.

Williamson pled not guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court on July 6 and will stand trial on August 4 at 10am.
