School delighted to go green and fly its new eco flag
A Cambuslang school has received its Eco Green flag.
West Coats Primary was commended after making strong links with families and community and environmental organisations.
An Eco-Schools’report revealed assessors were impressed by the way the initiative had been embedded in the daily life, curriculum and ethos of the school and the range of environmental initiatives they have been involved in.
The school’s eco committee, which includes pupils Kaylee Walker, Claudia Boan, Matthew Noble, Jodi Namyslak and Jacob Parker, were delighted to be rewarded for their efforts. Eco-Schools is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world and connects 15 million children, young people and educators.
