Bloom group on hunt for willing crop of helpers

-

Burnside In Bloom is looking for new volunteers.

The group needs people to help water the plants at Burnside Train Station.

One of their projects has involved planting greenery and trying to improve the appearance of the train station in Burnside.

Members have also sought to clean up the embankment there.

The group posted on Facebook:“We do not have enough people to water the station.

“If 14 people volunteered then each person would only need to spend about one hour, once a fortnight.

“In the absence of further volunteers we will need to remove the barrels and leave Adopt a Station, meaning Burnside will never gain an outstanding score again from the Keep Scotland Beautiful assessors.
