Drug ac­cused to stand trial

A Castlemilk man has de­nied be­ing in­volved in deal­ing di­amor­phine, a class A drug.

Owen Docherty, of Dougrie Place, has been charged with be­ing in con­cerned in the sup­ply of it at March 9, 2017 at his flat.

The 41-year-old, who was on bail at the time of the al­leged in­ci­dent, is also claimed to have had cannabis resin, a class B drug, on his pos­ses­sion on the same day.

He pled not guilty to the charges at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on July 5 and a trial date has been con­firmed for August 1 at 10am.
