Life’s a beach at the kids’ sum­mer clubs

Sev­eral lo­cal churches have an­nounced the de­tails of the sum­mer clubs they will run over next few weeks.

First up will be the Cam­bus­lang Hol­i­day Club, which will be hosted in Flem­ing­ton Hall­side Church and run from next Mon­day, July 31, through to Fri­day, Au­gust 4,

The fun will take place from 10am un­til noon each day.

The club is called Sea­side Rocks and, as the ti­tle sug­gests, will have a sea­side theme.

Cam­bus­lang Hol­i­day Club also run a hol­i­day club for those in S1-S4.

This year they have changed the for­mat of Three Day Thing, and it will be three day out­ings, fea­tur­ing a trip to the beach, a game of laser tag and a BBQ in the church grounds.

Stonelaw Church will also run Sea­side Rocks, but from Au­gust 7 through to Au­gust 11.

The hol­i­day club pro­gramme for 5 to 11’s and prom­ises to of­fer all the ex­cite­ment of the beach with five fun-filled days of sand, beach games, The Golden Palace drama, rock pool groups, crafts and sea­side cook­ies, and - most im­por­tant of all - hear­ing how Peter took up the chal­lenge to fol­low Je­sus.

Stonelaw’s hol­i­day club runs from 10.30am un­til 12.30pm each day.

That same week will also see Croft­foot Parish Church spring into ac­tion with their club.

The Rise and Shine club will be for preschool (three and four-year-olds) and pri­mary school chil­dren, and will run 10.30am through to 12.30pm.

There will be games, foot­ball, crafts, dance songs and sto­ries.

For older school chil­dren, the In­fu­sion youth evening ses­sions will also take place at the church that week.

These are aimed at S1 pupils and above, and fea­tures games, mu­sic, pool and ta­ble ten­nis as well as praise.

It starts on Tues­day, Au­gust 8, and is from 7-9pm each night that week.

Lastly King’s Park Church will run a chil­dren’s hol­i­day club from Mon­day, Au­gust 28 through to Septem­ber 1, with the fun tak­ing place from 6.30-8pm each night.

There will be lots of fun, games, songs, arts and crafts, chal­lenges and drama.

Juice and bis­cuits will be pro­vided and en­try is £1 per child per night.
