Life’s a beach at the kids’ summer clubs

Several local churches have announced the details of the summer clubs they will run over next few weeks.

First up will be the Cambuslang Holiday Club, which will be hosted in Flemington Hallside Church and run from next Monday, July 31, through to Friday, August 4,

The fun will take place from 10am until noon each day.

The club is called Seaside Rocks and, as the title suggests, will have a seaside theme.

To book a place call Jeanette on 0141 641 2861 or simply turn up on the day.

Cambuslang Holiday Club also run a holiday club for those in S1-S4.

This year they have changed the format of Three Day Thing, and it will be three day outings, featuring a trip to the beach, a game of laser tag and a BBQ in the church grounds.

Stonelaw Church will also run Seaside Rocks, but from August 7 through to August 11.

The holiday club programme for 5 to 11’s and promises to offer all the excitement of the beach with five fun-filled days of sand, beach games, The Golden Palace drama, rock pool groups, crafts and seaside cookies, and - most important of all - hearing how Peter took up the challenge to follow Jesus.

Stonelaw’s holiday club runs from 10.30am until 12.30pm each day.

That same week will also see Croftfoot Parish Church spring into action with their club.

The Rise and Shine club will be for preschool (three and four-year-olds) and primary school children, and will run 10.30am through to 12.30pm.

There will be games, football, crafts, dance songs and stories.

For older school children, the Infusion youth evening sessions will also take place at the church that week.

These are aimed at S1 pupils and above, and features games, music, pool and table tennis as well as praise.

It starts on Tuesday, August 8, and is from 7-9pm each night that week.

Lastly King’s Park Church will run a children’s holiday club from Monday, August 28 through to September 1, with the fun taking place from 6.30-8pm each night.

There will be lots of fun, games, songs, arts and crafts, challenges and drama.

Juice and biscuits will be provided and entry is £1 per child per night.
