Ac­cused ad­mits kick­ing of­fi­cer

Sen­tenc­ing has been ad­journed for a Castlemilk woman who re­peat­edly kicked a po­lice of­fi­cer.

Me­gan Pater­son pleaded guilty to the as­sault which oc­curred at the ac­ci­dent and emer­gency de­part­ment at the Queen El­iz­a­beth Univer­sity Hos­pi­tal in Glas­gow on April 10 last year. The 26-year-old strug­gled with two of­fi­cers, shouted, swore and ut­tered threats of vi­o­lence.

The Blae­loch Av­enue res­i­dent was on bail at the time of the in­ci­dent.

She ad­mit­ted her guilt at a hear­ing at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on July 12.

She will re­turn for sen­tenc­ing on Au­gust 14.
