Trial date set for assault charge

A Rutherglen man is due to stand trial for allegedly pushing a man to the ground and spraying a substance from an aerosol can into his eyes.

Michael Freeman, of Mill Court in Burnhill, is set to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on December 18 charged with assault.

The 42-year-old is claimed to have pushed the man at the car park at the rear of his address on December 29, 2015.
