Getsnap happy forpark contest

Friends of Cambuslang Park want residents to get snapping for a new competition they have launched.

The contest aims to highlight the beauty to be found in Cambuslang Park over the summer.

All pictures must have been taken in the park during 2017.

There will be five categories: community and family; nature, animals and flowers; weather; black and white; and abstract.

The compeition will be run in four age groups.

It will be judged by Ian Robertson, who presents a photography programme on Camglen Radio; Fiona Thomson, photography lecturer at New College Lanarkshire; and Neil Donald, a local resident.

The competition closing date is October 1.

To enter send photos with your name, age, email address, the category of entry and the title of the piece to photocomp@ cambuslangpark.co.uk.
