No.47’s exciting new look and fine dining
For those who remember Santa Lucia in Hamilton town centre, it’s an exciting time indeed!
There can’t be many families in Lanarkshire who did not celebrate or commemorate an event here and now IT’S BACK...
Local business partners, and cousins, Rob and Elio Faccenda, have acquired the premises from the well known and much loved Martalo family.
Robb has a wealth of experience, he is an owner of Pregos, Lanark and Carluke and along with his cousin, well known, south side businessman, Elio, they make a formidable team.
Robb and Elio say “We thank the Martalo’s and are proud to be associated with this iconic building and it’s history, however, because it has remained closed for such a long me, we wanted to bring it up to date and create our own vision.
“The restaurant has been completely refurbished from scratch, creating modern, clean lines, but at the same time, retaining a sense of high end, continental vibrancy in our décor.
“We want everyone to enjoy a relaxed, no pressure environment when they visit us.
“Our brand new, state-of-the-art kitchens are amazing, where head chef Paddy Chris runs a tight ship - he too has a wealth of experience, joining No.47 from the famous Corinthian Club in Glasgow.
“Paddy’s flair is evident in the unique dishes he creates for you, one of which is a delicious, warm Golden Cross, goat’s cheese and fig salad, and be sure to sample his signature dish – oxtail wellington, just stunning.
“We are not only proud to have Paddy as part of our team, but also that he is a member of the Lanarkshire Chefs and Hospitality Forum. He guides other people looking to gain industry experience with his advice and their search for jobs.”
Robb and Elio add, “We are also very excited for you to experience our cocktail bar, it’s a feature we think is unique to Lanarkshire and our mixologist certainly knows how to prepare a cocktail.
