Get back on track after hols

Don’t despair if you put on weight

- Michelle Friel

When you have been good all year it’s amazing how easily and quickly all that hard work can be undone.

You come back after your two-week holiday with some excess baggage in the shape of extra weight you have put on.

On the Weight Watchers plan we encourage you to have a wonderful holiday, to go and relax and not worry too much about what you are eating and drinking.

Most members who are having a good weight loss have already started making healthy lifestyle changes and these changes carry on when they are on holiday.

So you can still go away and maintain your current weight.

If you do put on a few extra pounds my advice is not to worry, get back to your Weight Watchers meeting as soon as you are back and simply get back on track.

In no time you will have that extra holiday weight off.

Schools are also back and that brings more joy to all the amazing parents out there. We work hard to keep our little ones entertained for over six weeks but again this can play havoc when you are trying to lose weight.

You are in a routine with your Weight Watchers plan and normally have your day planned and Smartpoints counted to ensure you are going to get a fab weight loss when you come to your meeting.

But when the kids are around my routine went out the window.

My kids nibbled all through the day and because they were doing it I thought I would join in. They wanted hotdogs for lunch so I thought I would join them. They wanted a McDonald’s after the cinema for a special treat so I thought I would join in.

All this fun has now resulted in me gaining a few extra pounds so it’s back onto my Weight Watchers no count plan, back to preparing my meals menu for the week, back to doing my weekly shop with list in hand and back to my goal weight.

If I can do it then so can you. The Weight Watchers plan is so flexible and easy to do that you can have those extra pounds off in no time.

Contact me on 07974404874 or come along and join me at the Burnside Hotel on a Thursday evening or Friday morning at Cambuslang Rugby Club to get those pounds off.
