Auld favourites heading to the Town Hall

A popular folk band are to return to Rutherglen Town Hall this autumn.

Auld Hat, New Heids have a history that goes all the way back to the Scottish folk scene’s glory days of the 1960s and 1970s. Comprised of Fraser Bruce , Ian Bruce , Pete Clark and Gregor Lowrey, the band play plenty of old favourites.

Earlier this year they played a show at the Celtic Connection­s festival. Fraser Bruce’s first experience of folk songs was as a pupil at Rutherglen Academy where Norman Buchan MP was a teacher at the school and ran a‘ballads club’, a club dedicated to folk music.”They will be at Rutherglen Town Hall on Wednesday, November 22, with tickets priced at £12/£10 concession­s.
