Rutherglen Reformer

Fashion Week a winner

-

What a fabulous month it has been for fashion! All of the autumn styles are now officially in the shops and I could not be happier.

The weather may be getting colder but the fashion is getting hotter and hotter. So, no need to feel down over summer coming to an end, I can guarantee there are new and exciting things ahead.

Last weekend you may have seen me and some gorgeous models hanging around Rutherglen Exchange shopping centre.

I was delighted to be asked to go along and host the final day of Fashion Week in Rutherglen as I work closely with the shops in the arcade to bring all my readers the latest trends and advice.

It certainly was a day to remember.

Situated outside Peacocks with music playing and microphone in hand, I hosted a fashion show with a difference.

On Saturday afternoon I styled some of Rutherglen’s very own local shoppers in Peacocks’ autumn/winter range.

Transformed into models for the day, our shoppers took centre stage in Peacocks’ very own window display, posing as mannequins and showing off their new looks.

Before the show started I had the lovely job of choosing and styling my own outfit for the day, I paired a fabulous white slogan t-shirt with burgundy skinny jeans.

The t-shirt I chose was celebinspired, similar to Peacocks’ recent ‘The Future Is Female’ t-shirt, which was sported by the amazing Amelia-Lily, X-factor finalist and Big Brother contestant. I felt this was a very simple yet effective look for the day.

To accessorise I purchased a pair of gorgeous chunky gold chain design earrings. This was after I realised I didn’t have my usual statement earrings in (and my head felt a little lighter than usual). Grabbing a bargain at only £4, this was a fantastic purchase.

The autumn/winter range straight off the runway is full of gorgeous deep colours such as burgundy, emerald green and navy with lots of heavy lace design on dresses and blouses. I love these particular colours as they suit pretty much every skin tone and give any outfit a very autumnal vibe.

With such a great range of fabrics to choose from, such as lace dresses, chiffon blouses and woollen cardigans, your outfit opportunities are endless.

One style that really caught my eye this year is the embroidered look. I absolutely love this style and Peacocks has many products to choose from such as ankle boots and simple hand bags with stunning embroidery featuring roses and floral designs adding a blast of colour and a little quirkiness to simple yet classic products.

At Saturday’s show we were also joined by some mini models who showed the residents of Rutherglen that Peacocks is not just a shop for the adults. With an excellent kids range, Peacocks caters for all ages, from gorgeous party dresses to cool tracksuits and even some fabulous accessories for the kids too!

Get down to Peacocks today and check out the latest autumn/ winter looks.
