A driver accused of causing a collision and fleeing the scene will stand trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court next year.

Pawel Bobel is charged with driving without due care and attention on Tormusk Road on May 19 and failing to stop at the scene of an accident after colliding with a car and a tree.

He is further accused of perverting the course of justice for allegedly telling police he was not Pawel Bobel when they called at his home address.

The 27-year-old also allegedly refused to undergo a breath test when officers attended at his home and again when he was asked to provide a sample at Cathcart Police Station.

Bobel, of Hoddam Avenue, Castlemilk, denies all charges against him and is set to appear for trial on March 2, 2018.
