Alleged bottle attack trial set

Glasgow Sheriff Court has heard how a Halfway man allegedly struck a man with a bottle before damaging a car.

William Thomson faces three charges relating to an incident at Hillside Court on February 10.

He is accused of striking a man with a bottle on the head and attacking a second man by punching and kicking him on the head and body.

The 24-year-old is further charged with damaging property by smashing a windscreen of a car and kicking the body work.

Thomson, of Overtoun Road, denies all charges against him.

He will stand trial on October 18.
